PICTURE OF THE WEEK, II
 by Shelley Gorny Schoenherr

Introducing ROSIE ... Let's get this straight, right off the bat. Most every Rosie I know is female. THIS Rosie is ... a guy. And he isn't even mine. Just a passer-by that I met in the Keys this spring. His wonderful autumn orange fur begged to be captured. He on the other hand captured ME. What a character he was, with families up and down the street as regulars on his fly by list.

Because of that wonderful fur and engaging personality, I did several pieces with Rosie as the subject -- and that propelled me toward another series Cattitudes and Other Explorations. More animals and more personality quirks will be presented in that series.

This image explores listening, while disclosing very little.  The series is not unlike the allegorical still life series, except that this time, there's no fruit.  So far, just cats. We'll see. It's an exciting series in progress, jump started by Good Old Rosie.

More next time.... SGS
